310S Stainless Steel Round Bar

310 Great ductility, weldability, and high-temperature properties make 310 Stainless Steel the ideal choice for projects that require service at temperatures up to 1150 degrees Celsius. Grade 310 resists oxidation and is also used at temperatures up to 1040 degrees Celsius intermittently. Similar to other austenitic steel grades, toughness down to cryogenic temperatures is another feature of 310.

Stainless steel round bar can be divided into hot rolling, forging and cold drawing. Hot rolled stainless steel round steel specifications are 5.5-250 mm. Among them: 5.5-25mm small stainless steel round steel is mostly supplied in bundles of straight bars, commonly used as rebar, bolts and various mechanical parts; Round stainless steel larger than 25 mm, used mainly in the manufacture of mechanical parts or as seamless steel billets.

Properties: 310S stainless steel is austenitic cr-ni stainless steel with good oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, because of a higher percentage of chromium and nickel, 310S has much better creep strength, can continue to work at high temperatures, has good high temperature resistance.

Dust particles attached to the surface can promote corrosion of stainless steel. When there are dust particles on the surface, cracks are formed in the deposition of dust particles, and it is easy to maintain the water film containing chlorine ions, which hinders the supplement of oxygen, leading to the destruction of the passivation film. In addition, the dissolution zone and the passivation zone adjacent to the dust deposition area will form a block cell and aggravate the formation and development of pitting.

Oxidation treatment


1, sandblasting (pellet) method: the main method is to use spray micro glass beads, remove the surface of the black oxide skin.


The chemical method: use a pollution-free pickling passivation paste and cleaning liquid with inorganic additives at room temperature. So as to achieve the purpose of whitening stainless steel color. The difference between


In construction engineering, stainless steel round steel and rebar is a popular name for different kinds of reinforcement, the differences between them are mainly the following five points:


1. Different shapes. The outer surface of stainless steel round steel is smooth; The outer surface of rebar has a spiral rib.


2. Different production standards. In the current standard, stainless steel round steel refers to HPB235 grade steel bar, and its production standard is "hot rolled smooth steel bar for reinforced concrete" (GB13013). Rebar rebar generally refers to HRB335 and HRB400 grade steel bar, and its production standard is "hot rolled ribbed steel bar for reinforced concrete" (GB1499).


3. Different intensities. The design strength of stainless steel round steel (HPB235) is 210MPa; The design strength of HRB335 is 300MPa. The design strength of HRB400 is 360MPa.


Different kinds of steel (different chemical composition). HPB235 stainless steel is carbon steel, Q235 steel; Rebar is low alloy steel, HRB335 grade rebar is 20MnSi(20 manganese silicon); HRB400 grade rebar is 20MnSiV or 20MnSiNb or 20MnTi, etc.


5. Different physical and mechanical properties. Because of the different chemical composition and strength of steel reinforcement, it has different physical and mechanical properties. Stainless steel round steel cold bending performance is good, can make 180 degrees hook, screw steel can only make 90 degrees straight hook; The weldability of stainless steel round steel is good, use ordinary carbon electrode can, screw steel must use low alloy electrode; Rebar is better than stainless steel in toughness and fatigue resistance. In summary, because rebar is low alloy steel, its price is higher than that of low carbon stainless steel round steel, the contractor, or design unit, often to the general civil building "practicality" Angle, reduce the engineering quality positioning, and choose low carbon stainless steel round steel instead of rebar.
